💖 On Saturday 21st June 2025, Oasis celebrated Oasis and why not? Oasis deserves it! We’re pretty cool; still going strong with our roots in the very early 80’s. In our beautiful Oasis jigsaw originally created by Barbara Ross OBE, every member brings a unique piece to the Oasis picture, each one different in shape, size, and story, yet essential to our community.
Just like in a jigsaw puzzle, no single piece is more important than another; everyone has a place, and it’s only when we come together that the full image of our community becomes clear.
Whether someone is just starting their journey or has been living authentically for years, their presence adds richness, depth, and connection to the group. Each individual brings their own colours, experiences, and perspectives, creating a mosaic of shared strength and understanding.
💖 The beauty of Oasis lies in the way those individual pieces fit together, perhaps not always perfectly at first as we take our first steps, but with patience, support, and care, we find where we belong. Like a jigsaw, Oasis offers a space to be seen and valued exactly as we are. It’s a reminder that we’re not alone, that we belong to something larger, and that together, we create something truly beautiful, fun and whole.

💖 During the evening we were delighted to welcome our Guest of Honour and Barbara’s daughter Steph, complete with OBE. In addition, we were joined by honoured members of Oasis, Beccie, Vicky, Carole, Petra, Michelle, Geri, Joanna, Jules and Claire. We were delighted to present lifetime membership to Beccie, Vicky, Geri, Joanna, Emma-Jane and Serena for their amazing contribution to Oasis. A veritable top table of talent!
💖 One of the most heart warming parts of the Oasis jigsaw is always our shared meal, and this time, it was truly unforgettable. Serena and her fabulous sous chef pulled out all the stops with Serena’s Superior Special Scrumptious Summer Salads, delighting forty hungry and very happy tummies!
💖 Of course, even magical evenings must come to a close. And so, with full bellies and fuller hearts, the June Oasis jigsaw was lovingly built, joyfully experienced, and then gently packed away into the box, until we meet again in July.
💖 A huge thank you to all our amazing members who filled the evening with laughter, love, and sunshine. Extra sparkly thanks go to Penny, Emma, and Billie for their sensational table, chair, and bunting wizardry; Hilary and Jade for their heroic washing-up efforts; and to our clean-up dream team, Jaqui and Stacey, absolute legends! As always, we salute the Lincs and Cambs crews, you rack up the miles, and we love you for it.
Here’s to summer joy, scrumptious food, and the beautiful jigsaw we’re lucky to call Oasis. 🌸💖🌿
