Community Culture Club at the Museum of Norwich at the Bridewell
Community Culture Club is a creative wellbeing programme; a friendly arts, culture and heritage group that meets on Thursday mornings at the Museum of Norwich. Sessions start in November and run for 10 weeks with a break for Christmas. Each week we explore an object from the collection, try a craft and then have tea and biscuits. Sessions are free! Places are limited.
The sessions are open to all older people (65+), including those living with a dementia, carers, those with other long-term health conditions, and those who are lonely or isolated.
Community Culture Club are now recruiting participants for this fifth cohort.
“I would describe my experience of the Community Culture Club as being really nurturing. Throughout the series the staff have supported all the participants to develop new connections with others as well as with local culture, to enhance their knowledge of objects and displays in the Museum of Norwich at Bridewell, to express their creativity and develop resilience. I consider it to be one of the most joyful experiences I have had in a long time.” – previous participant.
The first session is Thursday 13 November, 10.30am-12.30pm. Registration is essential, places are limited.
