March Oasis 2026 – Waveney Foodbank and the TDOV Weekend.

As ever the Oasis events team have been busy, read on to find out what they have been up to and please along come and join in the Oasis fun.

In the UK, food banks now outnumber McDonald’s restaurants, with over 2,500 food bank centres compared to approximately 1,400 McDonald’s outlets.
Why? Twenty years ago this was unimaginable. On Saturday March 21st  2026 we are delighted to welcome Waveney Foodbank to Oasis.
The charismatic Matt Scade, will visit us and talk about the role of foodbanks in 2026 Britain. Find out how Waveney Foodbank are helping local people in crisis and why Foodbanks are needed and how they support local communities. There will be the opportunity to ask questions and take part in our nutarian based quiz; with an appropriate health prize.

Beware Chef Lilly and Chef Rhian are in d’house. Curry is not everybody’s thing, so if you would still like to attend but would prefer to bring a ‘pack lunch’ please feel free to do so, just tick the appropriate box on the reply form below. Secondly not everybody likes it hot, so I’ve had a word with Chef and they promises a series of mild but tasty curries (beef, chicken and veggie), served with rice, naan bread and a selection of chutneys to spice things up.
To cover the cost of the food, the entry fee will be £5.00.

Dress Code – Spring has sprung, celebrate the end of winter in how you dress. Too early for a summer dress? Do you dare face the wroth of the British weather.

As usual the meeting will start around 7:00 pm ish, and run until the washing up is done; but don’t forget that the doors open earlier (5:30 pm!), if you would like a bit more time to natter….the first thing that we do is pop the kettle on and have a good old catch up!
