Oasis Newsletter – Winter 2025

Remembering Davina Dee Starr
Our dear friend Dee died peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, 21st December 2024. Dee had been an active member of Oasis since 2015.
Dee always talked so fondly of her early days with the group, especially the great kindness of Beccie and Vicky, how thrilling it was to take her first steps as her Trueself, the pleasure in finding her ‘look ‘and the joy of making many friends.
In so many ways, Dee’s was a typical Oasis journey, taking those first steps, quickly establishing herself and then wanting to contribute to the ongoing success of Oasis.
Dee loved Oasis. She appreciated the kindness and respect that is the hallmark of our group. Dee made an difference and enjoyed using her skills to create special times. Such as the night she transformed our humble hall into an atmospheric Café Theatre in downtown Paris. Or her amazing generosity at King’s Lynn Pride, when she arrived with a car full of goodies and created our own Oasis VIP area. That day, Dee spoilt us rotten. Such special memories and happy times.
Dee, Oasis will miss you.
