August Trip – Mid Norfolk Railway, Wartime Weekend

In the midst of this delightful sizzling summer season, Oasis is compelled to extend to you an invitation of the most enchanting kind. It is with the utmost pleasure that we request your presence to celebrate The Mid Norfolk Railway 40’s Weekend imbued with all the charm and wit that only an Oasis outing can conjure. It’s wonderful to relate that we can voyage in style from Dereham to Wymondham Abbey and back again.

🚂Sunday 2nd August 2026 Meeting from 11:00 am Oasis will make it’s annual pilgrimage to the Wartime MNR. We will gather at Dereham Station in time to catch 11:30 am Up Train to Wymondham aboard Loco 47580.

Another Oasis is tradition is taking lunch at The Green Dragon in Wymondham, if you would like to do so please tick the box in the reply form below and we will reserve a table for those that would like to eat there. The full Green Dragon Sunday lunch menu is available here.
As an alternative please join me with your picnic, and we’ll find somewhere nice to munch.

Parking at Dereham Station can be tricky if you don’t have a blue badge, but thanks to the wonders of modern technology you are able to park in the Morrisons car park opposite Dereham Station for more than the 3 free hours by using your RingGo App (car park reference 682389).
In addition there are a number of free free car parks in Dereham. The Cherry Tree Car Park is the largest car and located on Theatre Street next to the Cherry Tree Pub, and is approximately half a mile from the station.🚂
