
The evenings are drawing in, finally there’s a chill in the evening air, and it feels like the perfect time to pack away the sandals and dust off the boots! Here at Oasis Global Control, we are already looking ahead to an exciting autumn programme, with plenty to look forward to, and, of course, casting our mind ahead to how Oasis will celebrate the festive season.✨ We will save all that excitement till last, for now, grab a cuppa, get comfy and read on to discover what’s happening at Oasis this month and beyond. 💜

Some of you may be are aware that Norfolk County Council are currently holding a consultation on access to facilities and spaces. You can read more about NCC’s draft policy here and like me, you may want to have your say on what is more of this bathroom nonsense. You can give your views using the reply form, via this link.
In addition to this representatives of the NCC Community Access Standards Team, Claire and Neil, will be attending of Norwich Drop-In this Thursday and our September Oasis meeting. Oasis invites you to make your voices heard.

A little reminder that Oasis also has a monthly meeting in Ipswich, working in partnership with Suffolk Pride and Ipswich, Trans & Non-Binary Folk. We hold our Oasis style meeting on the outskirts of Ipswich, which take place each 2nd Saturday of the month. Christened ‘Trans Laters’, we have a bright, welcoming space on the outskirts of Ipswich, where you can come, express your Trueself, and help create a beautiful and kind Oasis community. Saturday September 19th, from Midday to 1:30 pm, Sophie from the LGBTQ+ Project is excited to be hosting another of their next Trans Swim event in North Norfolk. This Health and Wellbeing event is open to Trans, Non-Binary and gender-questioning adults- 18+. Whether you’re a seasoned swimmer or just looking to dip your toes in the water, all skill levels are welcome. Grab your swimsuit and towel, and dive in with to the Trans Swim! Friday 25th September from 11:30 am, at Norwich Castle. Kindly Ease The Tension is the first major exhibition of pioneering British artist, cartoonist and Norwich Treasure, David Shenton. Bringing together 150+ works across five decades, it presents a bold and playful exploration of LGBTQ+ life in Britain.
