December Christmas Zoom

Dear Oasis ladies, partners, friend and allies,

The end of the year is rapidly approaching and there is only one more Oasis zoom in 2020. We will remember that number – for all the wrong reasons!

However, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Vaccination is being rolled out and, although it will take some time to reach all of us, we can at last look forward to a time when we can meet up again at St George’s Hall. By the zoom meeting we will know what tier we are in and what the restrictions will be either side of Christmas. Will we be able to meet up with friends in groups of six inside? Who knows. All our Christmases will be different this year.

However, Santa has been officially designated as a key worker so will be among the first to get the vaccine. Sadly, many of the elves had to be furloughed, and those remaining were socially distanced so present production has been severely reduced this year. Fortunately, the reindeer are unaffected as they have herd immunity. Brexit negotiations are at a critical stage but a deal has been agreed to allow Santa to import directly into the country without queueing at the border (the Santa clause).

If you are going to be at the zoom meeting, be sure to wear your Christmas hats, show lots of tinsel and baubles and bring your cracker jokes.

See you there and season’s greetings
