Dear Oasis ladies, partners, friends and allies,
I want to give you advance warning of what will happen at our November Oasis meeting on 20th.
But first – The Rocky Horror Show. For me, it was a tick on my bucket list. As a student in London in the 1970s, I walked along the King’s Rd most days. On 3rd November, 1973, I passed the King’s Road Theatre and saw the hoardings and posters for the opening night of The Rocky Horror Show. I was blown away and promised myself I would see it one day. 48 years later, I realised my dream! Would I dress up? Of course – but which character? Janet – too safe and boring. Corset, suspenders and fishnets – too predictable. So, drum roll, Columbia! Lilly and Dee joined me and we met Claire and Jules. Beccie, Vicky and Katie went later in the week. It was a fantastic experience.
Now back to Oasis. I am worried that numbers have dropped off so here is our concerted effort to entice you back. There will be a sausage, mash, peas and gravy main (with a veggie sausage option), Rachel is providing apple pie and custard for pudding and Theresa and Lorraine will run a bingo session. We are doing our best to give you a fantastic evening so do come along and join us if you can.
There will be a post nearer the time in which you can sign up and choose a veggie option if you wish.
