28 ladies braved the weather and road conditions to attend the February Oasis Groups meeting, my self included.
For the last umpteen years the group has been lucky enough and privileged to have the culinary services of Vicky, not only a long standing member but also a renowned chef. But after so many years Vicky has decided that the time has come to hang up her chefs hat and apron.
So this was sadly to be the last supper. But, my word what a feast! Vicky had pulled out yet another superb dinner and pudding for us all.
It was so nice to be amongst friends, some known to each other for years, others new, hi to Amy and Susan.
The chatter and laughter was a real tonic and so uplifting.
Eventually, after eating our way though the lovely variety of food, it was time for another of Vicky’s specialities. A quiz. This time the questions were based on Valentines Day. I never knew that so many questions could be raised from that subject, however it proved to be fun and interesting. I’m not sure if even Alexa would have got all the correct answers.
Like all good things the evening came to an end with the expression from everyone what a great evening we had had.
Now a whole month to wait before March’s meeting which is a ladies food night.
