Oasis is probably the longest running Trans Group in the country serving the LGBT community for well over 20 years. First in Barbara’s house on the first Friday and the third Saturday of each month, and now in a local church hall close to where she once lived.

As 2023 draws to a close it’s time to pass on the website statistics for those keen (or desperate) enough to know how Oasis is fairing.

Views and visitors have slowly increase from 2018, with over 20,000 views and nearly 6,000 visitors in 2023. There was more traffic between 2020 and 2022 due to Covid with more online and fewer face to face activities, outings or meetings.

There is no doubt that the Oasis website is being viewed by a large sections of habitable world in 2023. The darker the pink the more the traffic. It seems Greenland, the least densely populated region of the world has yet to discover Oasis! Lilly will set this as her target for 2024!

As you can see from this data Lilly and Theresa have been busy creating and posting 25 articles over the year and we have gained 25 new subscriber to our site. To all those subscribers out there your target for 2024 is to LIKE the posts more and COMMENT on them.

To any of those statistical nerds out there, since 2014 we have had over 40,000 visitors. (please note some of these 40,000 will have visited us more than once).  Now I don’t recollect what happened on 12th November 2021, except the US did warn us that Russia was looking at invading Ukraine, but it was the most viewed day. If you haven’t fallen asleep by now please enlighten me with what you think cause the site to peak with 484 views with a sensible comment of your own!

Finally, this last graphic shows the views month by month from 2014 when the site was created to present day. Since Covid, under the leadership of Geri, Serena and now Lilly the view rate each month has rarely dropped below 1K.

Lets make 2024 a better year all round. There are some fabulous activities that Lilly has created for all of the months next year. Please LIKE, COMMENT and if you can attend Oasis and continue the work that Barbara Ross OBE started all those years ago.
