For once my BBC weather app was correct. So, glammed up to my false eyelashes, I stepped out of my front door into 50mph winds and lashing rain! The drive along the A47 was horrendous but I arrived safely at the Marsh Harrier. As soon as I walked in the door, the welcome and warmth were fabulous.
One or two last minute cancellations meant that fourteen of us Oasis ladies and partners sat down next to a roaring log fire to enjoy a fantastic Christmas meal. It was lovely to see Amy and Donna, some of our newer members there. Equally it was, at last, nice to see Lilly who had managed to escape from France in a rubber dingy with her mother!

It was a welcome return to the traditional Oasis Christmas meal which last happened in December 2019 when 26 of us were entertained by the Sugar Beet Eating House.
The conversation and wine flowed and we were looked after brilliantly by Jenny and her team. They made us feel so welcome it was a joy. The Marsh Harrier is definitely a place we will visit again. A summer outing perhaps? Let me know what you think?
I hope to see as many of you as possible on Saturday, 18th December at our final meeting of 2021, in what has been a difficult year. So polish up those sequins! Click on this link if your interested in going.
Love and best wishes to you all,
Serena x
I totally agree with Serena, what a truly
great evening we had. It was so exciting knowing quite a number of us were going to meet up again for a Christmas dinner.
Forget the horrendous weather, think of glamming up and meeting friends old and new.
Such a lovely venue, superb staff who looked after us really well. Lovely food and wine, but most of all great company,
Oasis ladies know how to glam up.
Looking forward to another Oasis dinner
at The Marsh Harrier before too long.
